July 15, 2022 & July 30, 2021 - Jazz Night in DC at Westminster

2022 concert featured Pepe Gonzalez (bass), Bob Butta (piano) and Greg Holloway (drums)

2021 concert featured Steve Novosel (bass), Wade Beach (piano), Nasar Abadey (drums), Carl Cornwell (tenor and soprano sax), DeAndrey Howard (trumpet) and special guest, vocalist Audrey Shakir.

March 26th, 2022 - 11:30AM - 2:00PM - Mendenhall Inn, PA

After a 2 yearr hiatus due to the pandemic, Carl returns to honor student and alumni honorees. He is joined by Bob Butta (piano), Tony Green (Bass) and Danny Bowens - class of '73 - (bass) for the Annual Jazz Awards Luncheon presented by the Chester County Chapter of the Lincoln Univeristy Alumni Association.

March 5, 2022 - Takoma Station Tavern, Takoma Park, MD

45 years after arriving on the DC jazz scene, Carl's debut performance at this legendary jazz venue was worth the wait. The "pandemic quartet" featuring Bob Butta (piano), Delorean Fullington (bass) and Tony Green (drums) wowed the audience with a program of originals, ballads and post-bop favorites honed over the past t years. From the opening notes of Joe Henderson's Recorda-Me to the sublime finale of John Coltrane's Seraphic Light the night was one to remember.

Delorean Fullington (bass), Baltimore's Bob Butta (piano) and the legendary drummer Tony Green joined Carl for three evenings of livestreamed classics from the likes of Joe Henderson, Dizzy Gillespie, John Coltrane and Joe Zawinul along with an original - Two for One - by Vernon James and Carl's signature, award winning tune Spring Song, A performance that prompted comments like "Fantastic! ... More please.", "Enjoying the music, very healing" and "Wow, I needed this tonight ... more than I knew". Replays available at An die Musik Live! (#'s 115, 235 and 320).

February 28-29, 2020 - 10:00 PM - Twins Jazz, 1344 U St NW, DC

Subbing for the founding brothers of Project Natale - Joseph F. and Louis Natale - Thomas Lewis (bass) and Tony Greem (drums) joined Carl and the pianist Bob Butta for two nights of classics from the likes of Benny Golson, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Joe Zawinul, Wayne Shorter, a moving rendition of Here's That Rainy Day that brought tears to at least one man's eyes. - Twins Jazz, U Street NW, Washington, DC 20009

A classic quartet - with the pianist Aaron Grave, the bassist Danny Bowens and the drummer Tony Greeen joining Carl on tenor and soprano sax - provides musical interludes for a Sunday afternoon service at Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion.
